Read the article carefully and check if any one of the following changes has been made to your computer. If you have no knowledge about the computer then you can simply follow the instructions starting from step 1 till the last step or till your issue has been resolved.
Method 1: Tweak Wireless Network Adapter Drivers
One of the reason that this issue may occur is because you have an outdated network adapter drivers. This method explains the various steps of how you can update the network adapter drivers. Follow the steps as shown below:
Step 1: First you have to open the Device Manager by clicking the windows tab and searching it.
Step 2: Then you have to select Network Adapters from a set of list that appears on the screen.
Step 3: Select your network adapter by right clicking on it and then select Update driver software.
Step 4: Select “Search automatically for the updated driver software”. Click on “Close” button when the driver is successfully installed.
Step 5: After the driver is installed, you have to restart your system and if the issue is resolved.
Step 6: If the problems persist, right click on network adapter and select uninstall.
Step 7: Restart your computer, your windows will automatically re-install it.

Step 10: Search for the “Show compatible hardware” option and uncheck it.
Step 11: Select the right driver from the list and check if the issue is resolved.
Step 12: If not resolved, then try go to your drivers and repeat the same steps till “Network Adapters” and click on Properties.
Step 13: Then click on the “Driver” tab and select “Rollback Driver” option.
Step 14: Follow the prompts to roll back the driver and Check to see that the issue is resolved or not.
If the issue still exist then try by any other method from the list.
Method 2: Power Cycle Your Router or Modem
Another method by which you can fix this issue is by switching off and switching on your router for sometime. Follow the steps given below and try to connect again:
Step 1: Turn off your router by pressing the power button of the router and wait for about 20 minutes.
Step 2: Turn on the router.
Step 3: Search for your network in the Wi-Fi connection search list.
Step 4: Once you find your network, try connecting to it again. This willestablish a new connection to your ISP.
Method 3: Run The Windows Troubleshooter
In this method you can use network troubleshooter option as follows:
Step 1: Type “Network Troubleshooter” in the search bar present at the left bottom corner of your PC and press enter.
Step 2: Now select “Troubleshooting” option from the list that appears on screen and then click on Hardware and sound option.
Step 3: After that click on Hardware and devices. Click on “Configure a device” to check whether you have Windows 10 compatible drivers.
Step 4: If not, then from the manufacturer’s site you have to download the network drivers. Save it on desktop. Open the RUN dialog from the search bar present at vthe left bottom corner of your desktop.
Step 5: Type “devmgmt.msc” in the RUN dialog. Under the Network Adapters section, find your network adapter and right click on it.
Step 6: Then select Properties and move to the driver tab.
Step 7: Click “Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the uninstallation”. Go to the driver downloaded by you → Select it → Move to the Compatibility.
Step 8: Select “Windows 7” under the checkbox “Run this program in compatibility mode for”
Step 9: Right click on downloaded driver file and select “Run as administrator”. Click “OK” when prompted. Finally, restart after installation.
If the problem still persist then you can try another method.
Method 4: Change Network Key (Security/Encryption) From WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK to WPA2-PSK With TKIP/AES
One of the reasons for your network connection issue may be that your network connection is using WPA-PSK (or WEP). Follow the steps to confirm this issue:
Step 1: Firstly, open the action center by pressing the Windows + A key.
Step 2: Open Settings and click on Network and Internet option.
Step 3: Then click on advancedoption.
Step 4: Click on Properties. You will be able to see what your network is using against Security type.
Step 5: If your network is using WEP then you can tell your network provider to change it from WEP to WPA-personal and use TKIP algorithm for encryption purpose so that you will be able to connect to the network.
Step 6: You can also do this by yourself. For that, you have connect the PC through LAN cable
Step 7: Click on Wireless security tab on your router to change the WEP to WPA-PSK with TKIP/AES encryption.
Step 8: Click on start button, type cmd and in the command prompt type ipconfig/all.
Step 9: Finally, go through the list of information till you get default gateway IP.
Method 5: Forgetting Network
Sometimes, the wrong configuration of the computer is responsible for this issue. So in this method we will see the steps to forget the network and then again reconnect to the network in order to fix the issue.
Step 1: At the bottom of right corner of your desktop, right click on the Wi-FI icon and click on “Open Network and Internet Settings” option.
