Solution 3: Flush The DNS Cache and Renew Your IP Address
Due to an error in the DNS system, it might be possible that it is using the local cache and this may result in DNS_Probe_Finished_Bad_Config_Error.

Step 1: Using the terminal application. Click on the ios icon, then go to applications.
Step 2: Next, click on Utilities. And finally, tap on the terminal.
Step 3: Afterwards, put commands according to the version of macOS.
sudo killall-HUP mDNSResponder
Sudo discoveryutil mdnsflushcache
Version-Mavericks and lion
Sudo killall-HUP mDNSResponder
So, you need to type these commands and hit the enter button to clear the DNS cache. You may go back now and check if the error is still popping up. To get your IP address renewed in iOS
Step 1: Open the ios menu and then go to the system preferences section.
Step 2: Next, click on network and then navigate towards the advanced option.
Step 3: Finally, click on renew DHCP.
To clear cache in an android device,
Step 1: Open Settings on your device.
Step 2: Search for Apps and notifications sections and then click on it.
Step 3: Open app info and then find Google chrome. click on its storage option.
Step 4: Afterwards, Tap on Clear cache, and here you are, The cache will get deleted from google chrome.
Now either restart your android or just simply go back and check if you are now able to access a website.
For the users of ubuntu,
Step 1: Users of Ubuntu can use a shortcut by pressing keys ctrl+alt+t. This shortcut will open the command Section.
Step 2: Type, Sudo system-resolve–flush-cache and hit the enter button.
The cache in ubuntu is deleted. Now restart Ubuntu and try again to access a website. It might be possible that your IP address is not working properly. Every user has a default IP address. If there is an issue with your IP address, you can get it renewed easily.
Solution 4: Manually Change The DNS Settings
If restarting your router, flushing DNS cache and getting new IP address didn’t worked for you, then no need to worry. You can try changing the DNS settings manually and I will be listing some steps through which you can easily change the DNS configuration.
Your internet service provider provides DNS servers. However, you can change your DNS server temporarily and user public ones like Google. To switch the server follow these steps:
Step 1: Click on the network icon.
Step 2: Next, a network window will appear on the screen. Then, select your network connection like ethernet or wifi and click on it.
Step 3: A submenu will appear. Click on properties.
Step 4: A panel will occur, there will be two options-
1-Networking 2-sharing.Select the first one.
Step 5: Further, click on internet protocol version4(TCP/IPv4).
Step 6: Afterwards, tap on properties option.
Step 7: As a next step, you need to type DNS server address type:
Step 8: After entering the DNS address, press the ok button.
Now, go back and check if you are still encountering the error.
For macOS we need to follow a different procedure. Refer to the steps mentioned below for changing DNS settings in macOS.
Step 1: Open menu section in iOS device.
Step 2: Next, click on system preferences.
Step 3: Further, move the cursor towards the network tab, look for your internet connection and select it.
Step 4: Click on the IPv4 or IPv6 addresses (+) icon.
Step 5: Finally, type the relevant DNS address and afterwards, hit the ok button.
Restart your iOS and try again to access the website.
For android users,
Step 1: Open settings on your device.
Step 2: Look for wifi and select your network.
Step 3: Next, click on modify network and then move towards advanced option.
Step 4: In the IP settings section, You will get two options-DHCP and static, click on static.
Step 5: Next, enter relevant IP addresses and click on save button.
Now the DNS settings are changed, you may go back and check if you are now able to access the website.
For ubuntu users,
Step 1: To change DNS settings in ubuntu, open network settings tab.
Step 2: Navigate towards IPV4 and there, Type address of DNS server.
Step 3: While putting the address, remember to insert a comma between each of the address.
Step 4: Finally, click on Apply and here you are, DNS settings are changed in ubuntu.
Check by searching again if you still come across the error while accessing the website.
Solution 5: Trash Temporary Files
Chrome and other browsers save some type of files temporarily in the device so that, they can use them later. But these file cause trouble sometimes like the corrupted ones. This results in DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG_ERROR.Therfore,you could try deleting those temporary files.
Step 1: Click on the windows icon,and search “%temp%”in the search bar and press enter button.
Step 2: A page displaying a list of all the files which are saved by your browser temporarily will appear.

To delete temporary files in macOS,

For users of ubuntu, deleting temporary files is not needed as ubuntu automatically deletes all those files whenever the ubuntu is rebooted.
Deleting temporarily saved files is a very effective solution to remove the DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG_ERROR. But, if it didn’t proved to be effective for the error in your device, then the next solution could be.
Solution 6: Disable Antivirus Software and Firewalls
Antivirus software or firewalls protect the device from malware and virus. It is very necessary to keep the connection secure but sometimes these softwares become a hindrance in the working of Domain Name System servers and cause DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_BAD_CONFIG_ERROR.
So, if the problem still persists, your next step should be to disable these antivirus and firewalls softwares. You can do this by following these simple steps::

Old and outdated network drivers can interrupt the working of Domain name system servers and hence their inability to establish a connection with the website. Although windows updates system handle all the related updates but you can check if the update is available to do this,
