James Charles Kicked Out of Met Gala

The Met Gala has ended, but as usual, the stars who walked the red carpet in outrageously glamorous attire are still the talk of the town. Kim Kardashian, Zendaya, and Jennifer Lopez, among others, made their customary star-studded appearances.

Lana Condor, Camila Mendes, and her boyfriend Charles Melton, along with Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse, were among the newcomers to this year’s event. Makeup artist James Charles was also fortunate enough to score an invitation to what is presumably the world’s most exclusive event.

Who is James Charles

James Charles Dickinson is an American makeup artist and beauty vlogger. He was born on May 23, 1999. Charles launched a YouTube channel where he posts makeup tips while working as a local makeup artist in his hometown of Bethlehem, New York.

After a post of his makeup went viral in 2016, he was named CoverGirl’s first male brand ambassador. Charles hosted, directed, and co-produced the 2020 season of Instant Influencer, a reality competition series on YouTube Originals.

Two People’s Choice Awards, three Streamy Awards, one Shorty Award, and one Teen Choice Award are just a few of the honors he’s garnered for his social media efforts. He has also developed an eyeshadow palette and collaborated on a beauty line with Morphe Cosmetics.

He has been at the center of several internet scandals over his career, most notably a 2019 feud with fellow beauty Vlogger Tati Westbrook. Charles admitted to sexting with two juvenile boys after being accused of internet grooming by multiple minors. He maintained, however, that he was unaware of the minors’ age at the time.

Early life

James Skip, a contractor, and Christine Dickinson welcomed their first child, Charles, on May 23, 1999, in Bethlehem, New York. Ian Jeffrey, his sibling, is a professional model. It was in 2017 that he graduated from Bethlehem Central High School.

He talked about being bullied throughout high school, saying, “Me, I simply ignored it.” When Charles’s buddy asked him to do her makeup for a school dance, he took the opportunity to try his hand at the beauty industry as a hobby.

He taught himself how to put on makeup and immediately found a market among local women.

YouTuber James Charles Under Fire for ‘Influencer Representation’ Comment as Lilly Singh and Liza Koshy Shine at Met Gala

James Charles’ comment on “influencer representation” has drawn criticism (and a lot of confusion) when fellow YouTubers Lilly Singh and Liza Koshy were the stars of the Met Gala.

James Charles, a major YouTube personality in the beauty and makeup industry, has been involved in several high-profile scandals. Ever since his popularity skyrocketed and he became the first “CoverBoy,” Charles has been accused of racism, transphobia, and ripping off his supporters.

Nevertheless, the influencer’s backbone was finally broken when they discovered gummy vitamins at Coachella. Charles has lost nearly 3 million YouTube subscribers since last Friday, as measured by the subscriber tracking website Social Blade, and the whole beauty community appears to have turned against him.

Several internet users have reported that Charles has been “canceled.” What happened was as follows: Charles has amassed millions of dollars and countless devoted followers with his online beauty instructions, vlogs, makeup items, and branding.

The 19-year-old quickly expanded his fan base after becoming CoverGirl’s first “CoverBoy” in 2016, typically through partnerships with other prominent YouTube personalities like Jeffree Star and the Kardashians.

On Friday, however, a YouTube beauty community icon and one of Charles’ early role models, Tati Westbrook, posted a 43-minute video titled “BYE SISTER…” on her channel in which she ripped at Charles.

Charles has established his reputation on the catchphrase “Sister,” hence the reference. Westbrook detailed in her video why she is severing ties with Charles and gave a rundown of all the reasons she can’t stand him.

Westbrook said she’d had issues with Charles’ behavior for some time, describing him as thoughtless and rude on numerous occasions. But in April, everything exploded. Here you will find out about james charles kicked out of met gala.
